Damn architecture . . .
The architecture of the library is designed in such a perfect way that for about 15 minutes every morning the sun is completely aligned with my eyes leading to almost complete blindness. Also the vast void above my desk (there is this giant 25 foot opening right over where I sit) creates a significant draft effect in the computer area making the whole space freezing cold. I guess I really just don’t get architecture. Sure the library is pretty cool looking but is the design all that convenient? I keep meaning to ask my cousin, who works for an architecture firm, why architects make such wacky designs. Is it all just aesthetics? Perhaps I just need to go look at more buildings. Still it doesn’t change the fact that I am blinded and cold primarily because of the way somebody decided to build this library
