I am proud of General Lordisimo’s Apocalypse blog.  When I started this blog a little over a year ago in October of my senior year of college I was doing it more to play around with wordpress because I was using another wordpress blog in a class I was taking.  I didn’t really care all that much about the blog at the time it was just something to experiment with.  But I kept it, and every once in a while I’d make a post.  I had very few viewings which was okay because I didn’t really care if people looked at the blog, I wasn’t writing anything for the purpose of sharing with other people I was just fooling around.  But as time went on I began to get more into the whole blogging thing.  I love writing and General Lordisimo’s Apocalypse gave me a good place to write some stuff down.  Around the middle of this summer I began to get more visits to this blog and I think that I changed my writing style some with awareness that I might actually have a small audience reading what I wrote (it is an interesting fact in how our art changes once we become aware that an audience is present).  Granted it was no huge audience but I was now writing aware that other people would be reading my stuff.  Since about the end of August or so the number of views of this site has continued to increase.  In October I hit 1000 views total and also wrote my 100th post and had managed to maintain the blog for a whole year.  Earlier this week (by earlier I mean Wednesday) I was excited to tell Mad that I’d had 70 views in one day.  She said if I could get 100 views in a day I should have a party.  Yesterday (that being Thursday the 15th) I hit over 2000 views in the entire life of the blog and, oh yes, 101 views in a single day.  I am proud.  Where is my party?  But really, I’ll be honest, I don’t know how blogs work all that well, at least in how they get people to read them.  Maybe still nobody is reading what I’ve written and people are just clicking on links from Google or Yahoo or something.  Oh well.  I intend to keep plugging along on General Lordisimo’s Apocalypse regardless because it gives me something to do when the day gets slow at work (isn’t that great, I work at a place where I am so minimally needed that I can write blog postings when I get bored. . . no actually it kind of sucks).  Now the real trick would be if I could turn General Lordisimo’s Apocalypse into some sort of profit making thing (hey I need money, I’ve got student loans and a low paying job).  Anyway just wanted to share my pride in my product.  Hooray blog!
