The Library Needs a Scanner

Very regularly people come into the library asking if we have a scanner, which we do not.  Personally I am of the opinion that this would be a pretty decent device to add to the computer area as they can be quite useful.  Further I would like to see a scanner so that I may use it myself.  We do have a computer that is hooked up to a microfiche reader and I think that if we are going to bother using that outdated technology then we can probably figure out a way to get a scanner hooked up somewhere too.  There had been talks a few months back about getting a fax machine/scanner but I have heard nothing further about it.  I guess I’ll have to ask my boss.
