Another Current Read
Just finished the March Literary Libations book, Tim Winton’s Dirt Music, yesterday and soI have chosen another book to start reading (at the same time as Ilium). What was my choice? Why none other than Herman Melville’s American whaling classic Moby Dick! It has been about three years since I last read Moby Dick and so I thought it was high time to pick it up again. I only got to read about three chapters last night before I decided to go to bed but already in those first fifteen or sixteen pages I was very excited to be experiencing the greatness that is Melville’s novel again. Moby Dick is definitely high up on my list of all time favorite novels and may even, after this reading, be competing with Frankenstein and The Brothers Karamazov.
I’d say that’s a timely selection.
