Tomato Vine

After work yesterday Mad, Meg, and I all headed over to this cool little organic produce place called The Tomato Vine located off of Old Buncombe Rd in Greenville.  For something like $11 we got:

  • A block of cheddar Cheese (the single most expensive item)
  • Flour Tortillas
  • Six tomatoes (I’m pretty sure it was six — what kind were they Meg?)
  • Two Tomatillos
  • Two Hot Finger Chili Peppers
  • Three Serreno Chili Peppers
  • An Avocado (we bought one of these right?)

I think that is all but still it seems like it was an awesome deal.  Then we all went make to Meg and Evan’s abode and made vegetarian burritos using the ingredients we had purchased (plus a few other things like rice and beans that Meg had).  Yummy yummy!  Felt good to support local organic food which was really cheap.

  1. They were small purple heirloom tomatoes. Tasty. Heirloom tomatoes have the best flavor hands down.

  2. All I have to say is follow this link.

  3. Also, go here too (make sure you have sound on)

  4. 100 karma points.
