Stories in Six Words
Salon.com presents some classic works of literature in just six words. Awesomeness ensues.
Personal favorite might be a tie between the following:
- Rapacious government consumes truth, excretes war.
1984 (or the Bush administration) - Be good. Precisely how is unclear.
The Bible (Old Testament) - Nothing happens. Then nothing happens again.
Waiting for Godot
As far as favorite goes I have to lean more and more toward the “Waiting for Godot” one just because it capture that play so perfectly. This may make “Waiting for Godot” sound boring (and I am sure to some people it might well be) but personally it is one of the best plays I’ve ever read (up there with Edward Albee’s “Zoo Story” and Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar”)
