1 and 24

One year ago this day I boarded a plane in Manchester NH and said farewell to my New England home and began my flight to start my post college life in Greenville, SC.  Damn time has gone by fast.

And 24 years ago today I began another big journey, the one called life.  All I have to say about that is, “Holy crap I’ve entered the mid-twenties.”  Oh well, nothing quite like getting older and, hopefully, a little bit wiser.

June 2nd in history:

  • The Vandals sacked Rome in 455 C.E.
  • P.T. Barnum’s circus begins to tour North America in 1835
  • In 1896 the radio is patented by Guglielmo Marconi
  • Queen Elizabeth II was coroneted in 1953
  • In 1966 Surveyor I lands on the Moon becoming the first US Spacecraft to softland on another world
