One Year as a Loyal Library Servant
Today was my one, year anniversary of working at the Greenville County Library System. All and all it was a rather anti-climatic work day, not a lot of projects, just kind of waiting for some people to return calls/emails so that I can move on to the next stage of some event planning. This is the longest I have singularly worked straight at one location. Granted I worked at my college library all for years while I was an undergrad, and I have had a few other jobs that Ihave worked at during more than one summer. But prior to working at GCLS I have never worked at one place for a full year (mostly due to school versus summer/winter vacations). I was talking to my friend and former roommate Alisa earlier and we both agreed that we are indeed officially adults now. And if I think optimistically I may be able to retire in like forty plus years. Wild!
(sigh)
Congrats?
Yeah, I guess it is pretty good, but that whole “Working for the Man” kind of rubs me a little raw.
You don’t just work for the man. You’ve become the man.
ha! Don’t you know that I’ve always ben the man. I mean seriously, I’m flippin’ awesome!
It’s never too late to become a phrenologist.
