Good Summer Drinks

Bear, Mad and I made some rather delicious fruity floaty drinks yesterday.  Very simple, yet very tasty and refreshing.  Further, considering that we were using some strong liquor, these drinks are a pretty easy ticket to Inebreationville.  The simplicity of the drinks are as follows:

One

  • Jim Beam (a good pour but not too much)
  • Scoop of Orange Sherbet
  • Top with Ginger Ale

Two

  • Southern Comfort (also a good pour — though maybe slightly less because of the sweetness)
  • Scoop of Lime Sherbet
  • Top with Ginger Ale

Both were very delicious and came out pretty cool looking (very orange and very green).  Now I had three drinks of these likes yesterday and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t feeling a good buzz after having them.  Not exactly the kind of drink you want to keep putting back one after another but, at the same time, on a hot day these seem to be a rather tasty way to cool off.
