Morel Success

This past weekend Evan and I experienced a significant level of morel finding success, finding around 15 or 17 of the fungi (albeit not on the hudreds level that Tradd has reported, but not half bad either).  Here are some pictures:

A pretty decent sized morel (at least of all that we found)

There are actually two morels in this picture. I like it because it demonstates just how hard thay can be to see

A display of the various sized morels we found. None were huge, but most were of a fairly decent size

The point of this picture was to try and demonstrate how close morels can be found to one another, but it created kind of a strange shot, which reminds one of a corpse

A bowl contianing several of our finds. Note the different colors and sizes. Also, make sure you cook any morels before eating to avoid stomach upset.

It was a good time hunting this weekend.  Lots of time outside, and the weather was beautiful (low 70s with a slight breeze and not too many bugs).  Probably will look for some more sometime this week.
