Signs of the Apocalypse: Neanderthals and Humans, Getting Kinky?

Humans and Neanderthals are interbreeding?  Dear possible higher powers it is horrifying.  Just imagine, a superior brain of a human with the stronger body build of the classic caveman, and you have what . . . a potentially really intelligent wrestler or something?

Oh . . .

Wait . . .

Neanderthals went extinct like 30,000 years ago?  Oh, and their genetics likely only constitute a few measly percents in modern humans.  Well, my apologies, I suppose this isn’t quite as apocalyptic as I first thought (well unless an advanced alien civilization comes to Earth and using their crazy bio-reformatting technology, awakens the latent Neanderthal DNA.  But honestly if the aliens are coming we’ve already got some issues to worry about).
