A World Covered in Pictures

This is neat . . . The New York Times collected photographs that were taken at 15:00 UTC on May second from all over the world and then populated a digital globe with all the submissions.  It is a literal world view of a  moment in history, preserved in photos.  It is a lot of fun to play around with and see what people were capturing with their lenses.  Check it out!

Note: As the image gallery warns, you could quite literally spend an entire day browsing through this thing, so make sure you got yourself a bit of free time before you get too involved.
