Happy Spring Equinox 2013
So yeah, today is that time of March when the Earth is all like, “Okay, let’s let the sun hang out more over the northern hemisphere for like six months.” And we (living in the North) are all like , “Oh heck yeah! Do that Earth! That is flippin’ awesome!” And then things get warmer and birds and bees do things (ssssshhh its animal sexy times), and plants all grow and all around YAY!
Anyways, considering the lovely weather we had this past weekend, today is feeling decidedly un-spring-like (chilly and kind of dark). Anyways, it is totally growing season time again. Eliza and I have been spending a lot of time in the yard planning our garden. I’ve started keeping my eyes peeled for morels again. Oh, and the sun stays in the sky until a reasonable hour (not like in December . . . stupid, stupid early sun setting December).
So here’s to spring. You’re probably the best season, but entirely too short in South Carolina (it’ll probably be in the 90s within the month) — oh well.
