R & R
I took the day off from work yesterday. Why? Mostly because I felt like it. I am glad that I did. It was great, and today I feel much more enthusiastic about being at work (which is a pretty significant statement considering my usual indifference to my personal presence at this job — especially considering that while I am often physically here, mentally I am far far away). While I was home yesterday I did some updates for GSATC and for awhile looked at my free version of H & R Block’s TaxCut software, knowing full well that I still need to file my taxes for this year (I chose to put it off a little longer). What else did I do with my free day? Well I listened to some music and watched a few rerun episodes of “The X-Files” on the SciFi channel (the best one took place in the Arctic where there were these freaky worms that crawled in people’s ears and took over their minds. Not all that different from the worm in the beginning of “The Wrath of Khan.” I’m a nerd, this I know). I also worked on designing a logo for MadLord, which came out looking like this:
It looks okay I guess, though I think the lightning bolt could use a little work. Considering that I didn’t do a whole lot yesterday, I still went to bed quite early which allowed me to wake up refreshed and pleasant this morning. I guess sometimes you really just need that time off and away from everything and everyone. I consider it time very well spent.
Good to hear you’re okay. I was worried. In the future, please do not skirt your blogging duties just because you’re taking “a day off” or whatever. That’s just wrong.
Cool logo.
