What the Fuck is Wrong with People?

I’ve probably been asking this same question for a really long time now (and will probably continue to do so) but when you look back at recent weeks’ news events of various people of prominence acting like complete assholes or rude shit-heads (there is a pretty good running list and consideration of it in this Salon.com article) it really makes me just want to scream.

Holy fucking shit people, get your god-damn acts together!

I fume about it because personally I hate assholes and shit-heads and raging bitches and all other classifications of just crappy human life.  Furthermore I try really hard to avoid falling into any of the categorizations myself (though likely this is not always 100% successful).  I guess what it really comes down to is that we all likely encounter enough crap and horrible displays of humanity in our daily personal lives so why the hell should we stand for it being so present in our popular culture or media?

I actually have two answers to this.  One is our ridiculous celebrity worship that makes us have a strange fascination with everything that celebrities do (good or bad).  Two is the fact that everything is just fucking absurd and there ain’t nothing we can do about it.  Still, I wish that people who were in the public light would take a little bit of time to consider that it might be better for the world as a whole if they acted a bit more polite or mature.

Ugh . . . some stuff in life is just annoying and shitty, guess we just have to cope with it.
